Hon’ble Secretary DARE & DG ICAR visits ICAR-NBPGR Regional Station, Srinagar

Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary DARE & Director General of ICAR visited NBPGR Station, Srinagar on Sunday, 10th June 2018. He was briefed about the various activities pertaining to NBPGR Srinagar Station. Dr. Mohapatra briefly but keenly observed the entire area and crops at our farm and was pleased with the work. He interacted with staff of the Station and planted a tree at the Farm. Hon’ble DG remarked that Srinagar Station is working at a difficult and unique place having tremendous diversity of temperate fruits and nuts (especially walnut) and assured that the development of proper facilities including irrigation will be looked into.
