Vigilance Awareness Week at ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi (28th October to 2nd November, 2019)

ICAR-NBPGR observed Vigilance Awareness Week from 28th October to 2nd November, 2019. This year the theme was "Integrity- the way of life". Vigilance pledge was taken by all the staff of ICAR-NBPGR on October 28. Various activities were conducted during the week which included debate on the topic " Is it possible to live with honesty in 21st century? / Kya 21vi sdi me imandari ke sath rahna sambhav hae? and essay writing competition on the topic "Integrity, transparency and values at work place/ Kary sthal par Imandari, pardarshita or mulye". Besides, slogan writing competition on the topic “Upholding integrity/ Akhandta ko banaye rakhna” and poster making competition on the topic “Honesty and Integrity/ Imandari or Akhandta” were also conducted during the week. Guest lecture was organized during the week on Vigilance Awareness which was delivered by Dr. Abhishek Thakur, Assistant Professor, Delhi University. On the concluding day, the Vigilance Officer Dr. M.K. Rana wrapped up the activities of the whole week. Chief Guest of the function, Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Director, ICAR-NBPGR in his concluding address highlighted that honest religious adherences to one’s faith and vigil on oneself for righteousness can obviate the need for such events. He distributed the prizes to the winners of various events.
