Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign by Division of Genomic Resources, ICAR-NBPGR to Create Awareness on Recycling of Waste Water

Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign is being observed during 16-31 December 2020 at ICAR-NBPGR and the Campaign was observed by the Division of Genomic Resources on 21 December 2020, with emphasis on the awareness on recycling of waste water, and water harvesting for agricultural application. All the staff members including scientists, technical, supporting, project and contractual staff of the Division joined the Campaign.

More than 40 members including staff and the local people visited the Eco-friendly Waste Water Treatment Facility at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, interacted with Dr Ravinder Kaur, Principal Scientist, Water Technology Center and sensitized with the safe disposal of sewage water and domestic wastes, along with sewage waste treatment for agricultural and horticultural use.

Demonstration on the waste water treatment and judicious use of water was also made by the staff through the poster presentations.
