ICAR-NBPGR, RS, Jodhpur showcases agro-biodiversity at Farmers fair, KVK, Barmer (Raj.)

ICAR-NBPGR Regional Station, Jodhpur participated in the farmers fair held at KVK, Gudamalani, Barmer on 06.03.2021. A great deal of diversity in agri-horticultural crops like Cereals, Oilseeds, Millets, Pulses, Vegetables and other crop species conserved in MTS at Jodhpur were displayed. Shri. Kailsah Choudhary, Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmer Welfare of Government of India was the chief guest on this occasion and while his visit to stall shown keen interest in germplasm diversity being maintained by the station. Dr. Vijay Singh Meena, Scientist (SS) and Officer In-charge, ICAR-NBPGR Regional Station, Jodhpur briefed major activities and achievements of the Station. Sh. Choudhary expressed his happiness about the activities being followed by station. Many farmers, students and staff of agricultural department visited stall and requested to have seed of vegetable species. Dr. Kartar Singh (Scientist) and Mr. Bhatta Ram (Technical Officer) of ICAR-NBPGR, did considerable efforts to organize the exhibition stall.
