Plantation drive of RET and wild spp of economically important plant of Rajasthan at ICAR-NBPGR Regional Station Jodhpur(Raj.)

Dr. Vinod, Scientist E & Head of Botanical Survey of India, Arid Zone Regional Center, Jodhpur, Rajasthan inaugurated the plantation drive RET and wild spp of Rajasthan on 13.07.2021 at NBPGR, Regional station, Jodhpur (Raj). At the outset Dr. Vijay Singh Meena, Scientist (SS) & Officer In Charge, welcomed and briefed about the activities being undertaken. NBPGR team discussed systematic exploration of minor fruit species and their wild relatives in untapped areas and related research with BSI scientific team. Visiting BSI team appreciated the work being carried out by NBPGR Jodhpur and further suggested improvement in the station activities. In this plantation drive total 10 species belonging to RET species (Moringa concanesis & Commiphora wightii), economically important plant species and wild relatives of arid fruit (Syzygium heyneanum & Phoenix sylvestris) were planted at wild species garden of the station.
