ADG Dr. S. Bhaskar's visit to NICRA wheat trials for NBPGR

Dr. S. Bhaskar, Assistant Director General (AAF&CC) visited field experiments of wheat conducted at ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi under National Innovations in Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA) Project’s on 7th April, 2022 at 9:30 to 10:45 AM. Wheat experiments included drought and heat tolerance in Emmer wheat (Triticum dicoccum), heat tolerance in bread wheat (Triticum aestivum) and development MAGIC and biparental populations for heat-stress tolerance in bread wheat. Dr. Gurinderjit Randhawa, Acting Director, ICAR-NBPGR and Dr. R.K. Gautam, Acting HoD, Division of Germplasm Evaluation welcomed Dr. S. Bhaskar, ADG, NRM, ICAR. Dr. Bhaskar interacted with wheat researchers including PI of NICRA Project Dr. Mahesh Yadav, two Co-PIs Dr Jyoti Kumari and Dr. Amit Singh, RA Dr. Shailesh Tiwari and other wheat researchers and appreciated the work done under NICRA project.
