Dr Himanshu Pathak, Secretary (DARE) & DG ICAR presented his vision on 11-11-2022 for revitalizing one of the largest agricultural research organizations in the world. Five focal points, seven guiding principles and five categories of expected output were unveiled.

On 14-11-2022, Dr TR Sharma, DDG (Crop Science) highlighted the contributions of ICAR-NBPGR during his presentation on the achievements and future targets of crop science division. Immediate targets proposed for NBPGR include facilitating enhanced use of trait specific germplasm in varietal development, PGR-teaching & trainings, conservation of CWR, etc.
