Nigerian scientist visiting NBPGR under ‘Research Training Fellowship for Developing Country Scientists (RTF-DCS) fellowship’ 2014-2015

Mr. Mohammad Abubakkar Gumi, Lecture, Department of Biological Science, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Nigeria has joined the laboratory of Dr Tapan Kumar Mondal, Senior Scientist, Division of Genomic Resources, NBPGR for a period of six month from 2nd March, 2015 with a fellowship from ‘Research Training Fellowship for Developing Country Scientists (RTF-DCS)’, Centre for Science & Technology of Non-Aligned and Other Developing Countries (NAM S&T Centre), Govt of India, New Delhi. Mr. Md Gumi will be working on ‘Isolation and Characterization of Dehydration Responsive Element Binding (DREB) Genes in Some Selected African rice cultivars of Nigeria’.
