Visit of a High Level Peer Team to NBPGR in relation to PGR discipline

A high level 12 member Peer Team headed by Prof. S. P. Thyagarajan, Former Vice Chancellor, Univ. of Madras, Chennai and accompanied with Dr R.K. Jain, Jt Director (Education) and Dean, PG School visited NBPGR as a part of overall programme for accreditation of IARI by UGC-NAAC on 10th August, 2016. Professor Rekha Chaudhury made a brief presentation on PG teaching and research activities followed by interaction with Director (Acting) and Head of PGR Division, Dr S.C. Dubey and Heads and Unit In-charges of Divisions of NBPGR. The team visited the Library, Labs of Division of Genomic Resources, Cryogenebank and Seed Genebank and interacted with students. Inputs required for facilitating this visit was provided by the PGR faculty and useful suggestions given by Peer team members were noted.
