AGRICUTURAL EDUCATION DAY CELEBRATIONS, 3rd DECEMBER, 2016 Date Posted: 09-12-2016 To commemorate the birthday of our first Union Minster of Agriculture (1946) and first President of independent India, Bharat Ratna, Dr Rajendra Prasad, an AGRICUTURAL EDUCATION DAY was celebrated at ICAR-NBPGR on 3rd December. A total of 77 students visited the NBPGR campus. Dr Kuldeep Singh, Director, NBPGR addressed the students and apprised them about the importance of agriculture and role of NBPGR in ensuring the National Food and Nutritional Security. The students were also shown a documentary film on activities of NBPGR. The students enthusiastically participated in an agriculture based quiz programme conducted to create awareness regarding various facets of Indian Agriculture.
