Visit of delegates from Yezin Agricultural University (YAU) Yezin, Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar on April 18, 2017

In the context of a joint Workshop between ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute and Yezin Agricultural University (YAU) Yezin, Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar for development of Post Graduate Course Curriculum of PG School, a team visited ICAR-NBPGR on 18th April, 2017. The Team of delegates led by Dr S.L. Mehta, Resident Advisor, ACARE and Dr. Myo Kywe, Vice Chancellor, YAU met Dr Kuldeep Singh, Director, NBPGR, Professor Rekha Chaudhury and all Heads of Divisions and Officer Incharges of Units. An overview of the Joint Workshop was given by the delegates, followed by briefing on courses being taught under the discipline of Plant Genetic Resources. This was followed by visit to ICAR-NBPGR facilities viz., National Genebank (Seedbank, Cryobank and In vitro bank), Plant Quarantine and Genomic Resources.
