Four-day Exhibition ‘Rising Kashmir 2017’ inaugurated by Shri Radha Mohan Singh, Honb’le Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmer’s Welfare on July 3rd, 2017 at SKICC Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir)

Shri Radha Mohan Singh, Honb’le Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmer’s Welfare inaugurated a four-day (July 3rd to July 6th, 2017) exhibition at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Center (SKICC) Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir).The event named ‘Rising Kashmir 2017’ was organized by Sansa Foundation essentially to promote Awareness of Central Government & State Policies Achievements.Several central and state Govt. organizations including Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) showcased the technologies developed by them during this event.A stall was also set up by ICAR-NBPGR Regional Station Srinagar for showcasing different activities of the station.The germplasm mostly of traditional crops including live material was displayed.Hundreds of people including school children visited the stall every day and interacted with scientists of the station.Some foreign nationals also showed keen interest in our stall.Literature about the mandate, activities and achievements of ICAR-NBPGR in general and of ICAR-NBPGR Regional Station Srinagar in particular was distributed among the visitors during the event.
