Salient Achievements:

1. Plant Genetic Resources identification (over 1200 taxa with confused/ wrong identity), use and value addition of economic plants (over two dozen), and study of domestication trends (sponge gourd, moringa, melon, alliums) 

 2. Systematic studies on Indian taxa (Luffa, Crotalaria, Allium, Cucumis melo group, etc.) and préparation of field identification keys. Identification of diverse groups of less-known taxa and semi-domesticates (30) from the Indian region.

3. Expertise in herbarium methodology; developed protocols for a dozen of difficult to conserve taxa mainly cultivated and wild relatives. 

4. Earned experience through deputations to international herbaria (at Beltsville, New York Botanical Gardens, Fortcollins, California- Davis, Arnold Arboratum, Missoorie Botanical Gardens etc.) in United States of America.

5. Course leader and guide in PGR/ Taxonomy Plant Taxonomy, PG School of IARI, New Delhi since 1999. Guided 9 students for awards of degree (4 Ph. D. and 5 M.Sc.)

5. Presently, As a ‘Curator’ of the National Herbarium of Cultivated Plants (NHCP), ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi for the management of total unit.

     
Awards/Honours:

1. Honoured as an expert member in the panel of DST funded project at IIT Delhi.

 2. Honoured as an expert in the Regional Expert Consultation on Underutilized Crops for Food and Nutrition Security in Asia and the Pacific held at Bangkok, Thailand from November 11-16, 2017 and delivered a key note address on Underutilized Plant Species in Asia-Pacific Region.

 3. Award for Best Poster Presentations: Soyimchiten, K Pradheep and Anjula Pandey (2016) Wild leafy-vegetables of North Eastern Hill region of India: diversity and domestication potential. In: 1st International Agro-biodiversity Congress, New Delhi, India, November 6-9, 2016.

4. Award for best institute stall:Pandey Anjula (2016) as member in Mela Committee in International Agro-biodiversity Congress (IAC), November 2016.

5. Best Poster Presentation Award: Nivedhitha S, Anjula Pandey, Rakesh Bhardwaj and Ahlawat SP (2018). “Flemingia procumbens (Roxb.)
