Salient Achievements:
  • Eleven (11) exploration trips in remote and difficult areas of NEH region and collected 1730 valuable crop germplasm and deposited in National Gene Bank, New Delhi.
  • Associated in characterization and evaluation of germplasm and characterized more than 4000 different crop germplasm. Contributed in processing and arranging the crop accessions for conservation in gene bank.
  • Contributed significantly for selection from indigenous maize cultivar of NEH region and registered a ‘multi-cob’ maize genotype (Registration No.-INGR13054).
  • Involved in conducting the various trials under AICRP for Rice bean, Perilla, buckwheat and Coix.
