PGR Portal is a culmination of efforts and support of various individuals. Development of the portal was supported by the ICAR through institutional funding. PGR Portal is a result of encouragement of the ICAR on the basis of recommendations of the National Board for the Management of Genetic Resources.
The Portal makes use of PGR Databases designed and developed at AKMU (NBPGR) under the guidance of Dr. R.C. Agrawal. All the previous Directors and the current Director Dr. K.C. Bansal have supported and inspired the developement of PGR Databases and the Portal respectively.
