DATA COLLECTION:
Characterisation data received for core collection
15,000 unique rice germplasm (Indigenous-13733, Exotic-1267) are characterized for 30 morphological characters —19 qualitative (Ligule Shape, Grain Length Width Ratio, Panicle Exertion, Flag Leaf Angle, Leaf Pubescence, Leaf Senescence, Leaf Blade Colour, Early Plant Vigour, Stigma Colour, Apiculus Colour, Threshability, Hull Colour, Panicle Type, Seed Coat Colour, Coleoptile Colour, Basal Leaf Sheath Colour, Awning, Sterile Lemma Colour, Aroma) and 11 quantitative characters (No of Effective Tillers, Days to Maturity, Panicle Length [cm], Plant Height [cm], Auricle Colour, 100 Grain Weight [gm], Seedling Height [cm], Leaf Length [cm], Days to 50% Flowering, Grain Yield Per Plant [gm], Leaf Width[cm]) by five centers (Banaras Hindu University-Varanasi, Central Rice Research Institute-Cuttak, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya-Raipur, Central Soil Salinity Research Institute-Karnal and Directorate of Rice Research-Hyderabad) for three seasons (2010-2011, 2011-2012, 2012-2014).

Data Collection
 

Characterisation data verification
Characterisation data of 15,000 accessions characterised by five center in three years, generated 45,000 rows, accession were checked with NRRD unique accession database, only matched accession are permitted in core development.

 

DATA PREPARATION:
Common accession selected from three years characterization data
 


Data file preparation for one value selection for all characters of all accessions (Pivot table).

Single value selection method for each character of each accession


Geographical information addition to the file as qualitative character
