Germplasm Field Day on Okra: 11 August 2017 at ICAR-NBPGR Regional Station, Thrissur Date Posted: 17-08-2017 A Germplasm Field Day for Okra and Abelmoschus was held at ICAR-NBPGR Regional Station Thrissur on 11 August 2017 for the benefit of okra researchers. A total of 1400 collections of okra, representative collections of 10 wild Abelmoschus species, and about 150 F3 lines of amphi-diploids (okra with YVMV resistant wild Abelmoschus species) was exposed, besides good variability in ornamental okra. A total of 31 participants representing ICAR institutes, State Agricultural Universities and traditional universities took part in the event.
