ICAR-NBPGR Celebrated 42nd foundation day on 1 Aug 2018. Dr. Kuldeep Singh (Director, NBPGR) presented a brief report on salient achievements of ICAR-NBPGR. Dr. AK Singh, DDG (ICAR) complimented ICAR-NBPGR for excellent progress & called for preparedness for newer challenges. Dr. SK Vasal, World Food Prize Winner, highlighted the need for scientific management of PGR to enhance utilization. Dr. Veena Gupta introduced retired-senior colleagues to the young audience. Prof. CR Babu, Professor Emeritus & Ex-Pro-Vice-Chancellor, University of Delhi delivered 5th Dr. Harbhajan Singh Memorial Lecture on “Conservation of Living Resources of Urban Centres”. Dr. Raj S Paroda expressed satisfaction over the progress of ICAR-NBPGR He suggested to have a brainstorming session on every foundation day to prepare for the future. Best workers were recognized for excellence and awarded. Publications titled nnn were released. Accreditation of GM lab of NBPGR was officially declared. The Cryo Bank Dashboard was launched by Dr. Paroda. Dr. SP Ahlawat, Chairperson, Organizing Committee, placed a formal vote of thanks.
