GM Detection Research Facility, ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi has been accredited as per international standards ISO:IEC 17025:2005 by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), a Constituent Board of Quality Council of India w.e,f 29th June, 2018

GM Detection Research Facility, ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi has been identified as one of the National Referral Laboratories to detect the presence or absence of Living Modified Organisms and Genetically Modified Organisms under sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Seeds Act, 1966 in a Gazette of India: Extraordinary Notification (Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture & farmers Welfare, Government of India) dated 15 November 2017.
