Vigilance Awareness Week, 2021 observed at ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi

The Vigilance Awareness Week, 2021 was observed with effect from 26th Oct to 1st Nov, 2021 at ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi. The main focus of observance of Vigilance Awareness Week was "Independent India@75- Self Reliance with Integrity". The Vigilance Awareness Week, 2021 was commenced with the Integrity Pledge taken by all the staff members of the institute on 26th Oct at Institute Headquarter, New Delhi. During the week, all the staff members of the bureau were encouraged to spread and promote awareness through social media accounts of the Institute. The various activities like displaying banners, posters making competition and, slogan writing competition on "Independent India@75- Self Reliance with Integrity", essay writing competition on Vigilance management for prosperous India and debate competition on Vigilance Awareness: Fight against corruption were conducted during the vigilance awareness week during 26th Oct to 1st Nov, 2021. On the closing day i.e. on 1st Nov, 2021 of the vigilance awareness week, 2021, the prize distribution function was organized. Dr. Ashok Kumar, The Director of ICAR-NBPGR graced the occasion as chief guest on the closing day function on 1st November, 2021. Dr. Kavita Gupta welcomed the Chief Guest and all the participants and highlighted the importance of organizing Vigilance Awareness Week in the Institute. Dr. Vinod K Sharma, Vigilance Officer presented the report of the Vigilance Awareness Week, 2021 observed from 26th Oct to 1st Nov, 2021 and explained various activities performed during the period. Dr. Gurinderjit Randhawa, HOD, Division of Genomic Resources, gave some valuable tips to follow in our professional life to stay more vigilant and emphasized to take part enthusiastically in various Institute activities without any hesitation. Sri P.K. Jain, CAO, ICAR-NBPGR highlighted the importance of regular monitoring and proper administrative control for curbing the corruption in general in the organization. The Director NBPGR, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Chief Guest of the function awarded the prizes to the winners of various competitions conducted during the week. He also appreciated the efforts of organizing committee’s put forth in successfully organizing the Vigilance Awareness Week, 2021. In his address, he expressed his satisfaction on the performance of the staff of the bureau and emphasized to maintain honesty and integrity in all walks of everybody’s life. In the end, Dr. Vinod K Sharma offered the vote of thanks to the guests, staff members, participants and members of the organizing committee.
