ICAR-NBPGR, Regional Station, Akola participated in Tribal Fair at Village: Lawada Taluka: Dharni District: Amravati on 11 December 2021

ICAR-NBPGR, Regional Station, Akola participated in Tribal Fair organized by KVK, Ghatkhed, Amravati and VNMAU, Parbhani at Vil: Lawada, Tal: Dharni Dist: Amravati on 11 December 2021. It was graced by the Shrimati Yashomatitai Thakur, Hon’ble Minister, Women and Child Development, Shri. Omprakash Kadu, Minister of State Education, Government of Maharashtra. Dr. Ashok Dhawan, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, VNMAU, Parbhani, Dr. V. M. Bhale, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. PDKV, Akola. Padmshri Rahi Bai Popere and Padmashri Dr. Ravindra Kolhe. The programme was attended by about 600 tribal women and men farmers from the Dharni tribal block of Amravati District in Maharashtra.
Regional Station, Akola exhibited Agro-Biodiversity conserved in Small millets, Oil seeds, Pulses and Okra. The exhibition stall was visited by all the dignitaries. The efforts taken by ICAR-NBPGR for conserving the Agro-biodiversity in the region were well appreciated by all the dignitaries including Padmshri Rahi Bai Soma Popere.
