Region specific Agroforestry and use of balanced Fertilizer Awareness programme was organised by ICAR-NBPGR in collaboration with Haryana Forest Department at Ferozpur Jhirka District Nuh, Haryana on 21.06.2022

Region specific Agroforestry and use of balanced Fertilizer Awareness programme was organised by ICAR-NBPGR in collaboration with Haryana Forest Department at Ferozpur Jhirka District Nuh, Haryana on 21.06.2022. More than 70 farmers participated in this programme. During the program farmers were motivated to grow local Agroforestry trees like lasoora, jamun, mulberry, khajeri and other multipurpose tree species in their farm land. Farmers were also apprised about the balance use of fertilizer for conservation and good health of soil. Farmers were motivated to use organic fertilizers for sustainable agriculture. Forest Range Officer addressed the farmers and assured to provide local trees species to the farmers whenever they need. Plants of lime and guava were distributed to farmers. Dr. S K Malik, Dr. K P Mohapatra and Mr O P Dhariwal interacted with the farmers and highlighted the importance of Region Specific Agroforestry and use of balanced fertilizer for benefit for farmers.
