Abelmoschus odishae R.C.Misra sp. nov., a new species of wild okra discovered from Odisha, reported first time, was published in a paper “Abelmoschus odishae (Malvoideae: Malvaceae): a new wild okra from tropical Eastern India” in a peer-reviewed journal Phytotaxa 607(5): 291-300 by ICAR-NBPGR Regional Station, Cuttack. The new species is described and illustrated with its diagnostic morphological characters along with photographs, taxonomic treatment and seed micro-morphology through Scanning Electron Microscope for identification and future use.
